Hemodialysis Technician
Hemodialysis Technicians assist in providing essential treatment to end stage renal disease patients that require Hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. Responsibilities include but not limited to receiving patients, weighing them and taking their temperatures, blood pressure pre and post dialysis. You will also perform and record patient observation, monitor vital signs, obtain samples and culture specimens, collect patient data and, under the direction of an RN, reinforce treatment plans with patients. Other duties would be set up and maintenance of dialysis systems and equipment, as well as involvement in quality assurance programs.
The medical profession has become indispensable of persons like you that are caring, understanding and willing to work in the field. These services are also being requested by Hospitals, clinics, medical reference laboratories, nursing homes and Renal Dialysis centers.
